Flight Pattern

Flight Pattern was developed by Moxie Dance Companies Artistic Director Meghan McDermott and Assistant Director Zoe Allard as a study of the habits and movements of birds. They focused this project on the alignment of their dancers technical articulation with the aviary qualities observed in their movement. The aviary population explored was chosen to highlight relationships between the dancers and social dynamics within the company. While maintaining the focus on birds, Moxie’s choreography highlights the necessity for dance as the expression of the world around us.
